Infocity basks under Investment Offers

A proactive science and technology department of the Gujarat government subsides and incentives to information technology companies, low attrition rates and good infrastructure are wooing more and more InfoTech companies to the Creative Infocity at Gandhinagar.

“At the recently concluded Vibrant Gujarat Global Investor” Summit, Infocity has been accepted well by IT companies, with the signing of several memorandum of understandings (MoU). We intend to continue to provide world class facilities and make Infocity one of the biggest IT.ITes and business process outsourcing hub in the country,” said Anupam Saxena, general manager, marketing, Creative Infocity.

Jim Iyoob, project director, Effective Teleservices, says that the company has decided to expand its presence at Infocity as centre provides good infrastructure.

Darshan Pate, chief executive officer of Netrique India, said. “I am happy that I got in touch with the Infocity people. I believe this place with this lowest attrition rates, will be beneficial for a call centre like mine.”

A recent study for Creative Infocity by Jones Lang Lasalle’s a global consulting company on real estate shows that investing at Infocity offers a competitive advantage for ITeS companies along with low cost of living.

According to the report cost of talent, electricity and real estate (office rents), availability of talent and intellectual capital, high quality telecom and physical infrastructure, rational and just enable policy measures offer a supportive business environment.

“The band with band wagon consisting of VSNL,BSNL,STPL,Reliance,Tata,Bharti,BIPL,Iqar, Blare net Rallte, GAIL and Hutch ensure a redundant and highly scalable model yet to be replicated elsewhere in India” said Saxena.

He said Infocity offers a fully redundant power supply with an almost 100 percent up time. While AEC is the primary supplier redundancy has been insured within lesson with plans for a GGVA switchyard within Infocity.

Infotower 1 , insuring 2.45 lakh square feet, has been fully booked and Softower 1, with a capacity of two lakh acre feed, has limited space available.

Infotower 1 houses companies such as research and development, software development, call centers and BPOs.

“The current strength is approximately 1,200 people and the number will go up as soon as TCS moves in. Softower 1 houses BPO companies and educational Institutes such as ICFAI.” Said Saxena.

He added that Infotower 2, 3 and 4 have been started and Infocity will start delivering space six-seven months from now.

The residential township has over 120 units and more than 200 professionals are already living there.
